Front Porch Beethoven
Saturday, July 22 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm
Elmwood Park resident and USC doctoral candidate Nathan Tucker has created an intimate musical series for the friends and residents of Elmwood Park. He observes that “porches are some of the best stages ever made, connecting humans to one another better than any public performance spot – and much more quiet and peaceful! So we were inspired to have a very small group of musicians to perform for a small group of people in our yards for a few summer evening concerts.” The programs will be composed of light and summery chamber music that complements the atmosphere of life on a southern front porch.
This quiet and intimate concert will also provide the opportunity for neighbors to socialize during the event – unlike a concert hall.
These concerts will be crowd-sourced via Kickstarter. If you would like to attend the concert, you can purchase ticket with a $10 donation. These tickets will admit you to the concert, but you will want to bring your own blanket, chair, and beverages. Higher rewards levels will admit you to preferred seating on the porch with the artists, and there is a rewards level if you are interested in hosting a Front Porch concert at your residence.
There will be one 10 minute intermission. Unfortunately, there will no public toilets available during the concert.
$10 General Admission ( limit of 50 ) – Bring your own chair or lawn blanket
